A formal planning application has been submitted to Borough of Poole. Following registration, the planning application will be publicised and there will be an opportunity to submit comments directly to the Council. Any comments that you wish the Council to consider in determining the planning application should be submitted directly, albeit we would still be happy to field any general queries or offer points of clarification.

We received lots of very useful feedback and we are extremely grateful to everyone who took the time to review the concept plans and submit comments.

Various technical studies relating to flood risk, ecology, trees, transport and viability have now been completed. The findings of the technical assessments, together with relevant planning policies and community feedback have all helped to inform the submitted scheme. To ensure that the scheme is viable and deliverable, the core of the proposed development has been raised by an additional storey (albeit still lower than the neighbouring Dolphin Quays and Drake Court) and the ground floor retail unit increased in size. This will provide an extra 14 homes compared with the original concept, creating a total of 96 units and ensure that the retail unit will appeal to a wide range of potential operators (important in this turbulent retail market). Overall, the scheme exhibits the same design philosophy and we believe will present a pleasing addition to the street scene and help to revitalise this important link between the High Street and the Quay.

All being well, we except a decision on the planning application towards the end of September.
